Community Project

Deal Hop Farm is a thriving collective of passionate individuals based around the seaside town of Deal in Kent, who have joined forces to cultivate hops and craft exceptional beer. Despite most of us having little prior knowledge of hop cultivation, we’ve acquired a wealth of knowledge and expertise through trial and error, as well as from shared experiences. Our tight-knit community of growers exudes enthusiasm and eagerly shares our love of hops with anyone who cares to listen.

As our members frequently come and go, our community is in a constant state of evolution. Nevertheless, we remain steadfast in our commitment to this project, especially during the challenges presented by the covid-19 pandemic. Despite the difficulties, we’re thrilled to report that the 2022 harvest was a resounding success, yielding just under 300 kilograms of hops, which is our best yield since the project’s inception.
